I’ve been obsessed with storytelling for as long as I can remember. When I was five years old, I would plant myself at the kitchen table and write until my illustrator—who also happens to be my dad—dragged me off to bed.

Twenty years later, I’ve had the opportunity to speak at libraries, bookstores, and schools across the province. I won the University of Waterloo's top undergraduate pitch competition after launching a project to provide children's books to underfunded Ontario classrooms.

I relate to young readers because, at my core, I’m still that same kid. The one who can’t stop writing. The one obsessed with storytelling.

Made a HUGE impact on the kids today. A mom of a boy in my class emailed me and said his eyes lit up talking about JJ. I can't wait for the next book.
